After
graduating from Loyola, Keith pursued a career in government consulting. He
worked seven years for the U. S. Department of Energy and Two with the U. S.
Department of Defense. While working there, he joined the U. S. Navy Reserve
serving eight years with the Naval Special Forces Special Boat Unit-22 and two
years with the Naval Atlantic Fleet in the supply department. He also worked in
the family business, Jordano Construction Company, Inc.
Keith
left government consulting to join MetLife Insurance Company and became a
multi-line agent selling Life, Health, Disability, Property & Casualty,
Mutual Funds & Annuities. He received his LUTCF designation in 1992 and
continues to future his education in the industry. After receiving excellent
training with MetLife, he left to travel the United States to sell group
benefits to large companies such as Morrision's Cafeteria, Ruby Tuesdays and
Waste Management. This gave him a different perspective of the insurance
industry and a diversified knowledge of products and clientele. It was while in
Florida that he decided to settle down and stop traveling.
Keith
owns the Jordano Group, Inc., a full service agency, which offers Employee
Benefits, Life, Health, Dental, Disability, Long-Term Care, Mutual Funds and
Annuities. He is also a Registered Representative and a Notary Public in the
State of Florida. He specializes in offering group benefits through such
well-respected companies as Colonial Supplemental Insurance, American Heritage
Life, UNUM, Aetna, United Health Care, Humana and many others. Most products
can be enrolled under a pre-taxed cafeteria plan saving both the employee and
employer tax dollars thus making the benefits more affordable.
Keith is vice president of the Palm Beach
Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, Treasurer of the Wellington
Rotary and on the Board of Directors of the Palms West Chamber of Commerce. He
serves as a chamber Ambassador, member of the Economic Development Committee,
Government Affairs Committee, Palms West Taste of the West and West Fest. He
has been Chamber member of the month and Small Business of the Year 2002 due to
his commitment to the Chamber and the community. He is a member of the
2003-2004 class of Leadership Palm Beach County, Leadership West and a member
of the Western Communities Business Association. He is also active in the
American Cancer Society. He served on the Royal Palm Beach High School
2001-2002 Project Graduation, President of the Acreage Landowners Association
and a member of the Acreage Steering Committee.
Keith likes being involved in the
community and meeting fellow business owners and community leaders. To be
involved, helps to make our community a great place to live and work and a
better place to raise our families. Now and for future generations.
